About Ilyssa
Hello!
My name is Ilyssa Rubin (she/her)! I’m an actor/singer originally from Baltimore, Maryland. I attended the same private Jewish day school from preschool-12th grade, which is a major part of my upbringing. In 2021 I graduated from Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ with a BFA in Musical Theatre!
When I’m not performing, you can find me in the kitchen baking, curled up on the couch with a good romantasy book (and a dog), crocheting, or playing on my Nintendo Switch! I am also a huge fan of all things Disney/Star Wars/Marvel, RuPaul’s Drag Race, and pretty much every reality TV show ever. The most important role I’ve ever played? Dog-Mom to my sweet boy, Boots! (pictured to the left). I absolutely love animals and cannot resist saying hi to every dog I see. Most importantly, I am very passionate about making the world a more inclusive place for everyone :)
